Borrowers reminded about COVID-19 relief via email

The Department of Education reminded all federal student loan borrowers last month via email that relief measures in place because of the pandemic have been extended until the end of the year.

In a September 24 Electronic Announcement, the Department asked financial aid professionals to share information about the emails with staff and to direct borrowers, who have questions about the emails, to their federal loan servicers.

An example of the email was attached to the Electronic Announcement. The emails, sent to borrowers from the address noreply@studentaid.gov, encourage borrowers to start planning and accessing available resources.
