It may not be a who's who list, but nonetheless, the list is pretty important when it comes to federal financial aid.

The Department of Education has announced the availability of the updated 2022-23 Federal School Code (FSC) List of Participating Schools and reminded schools of their requirement to keep school name and address information current.

In the August 18 Electronic Announcement, the Department said schools must submit updates through the Electronic Application for Approval to Participate in the Federal Student Financial Aid Programs (E-App) and the information will be used to update the Federal School Code List of Participating Schools.

The Federal School Code List contains the unique codes assigned by the Department of Education for schools participating in the Title IV federal student aid programs. Students enter these codes on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form to indicate which postsecondary schools will receive the processed application results.
