Students and parents who have not yet completed the Renewal FAFSA for 2022-23 will soon receive a reminder email from Federal Student Aid.

Federal Student Aid is asking institutions to join in the communications campaign and invites them to use some of the messaging, which has been shared of the Knowledge Center website.

In a January 4 Electronic Announcement, the Department of Education said on January 18, it will begin sending emails, SMS, and mobile application push notifications, when applicable, to 2021–22 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) filers (and parents of dependent 2021–22 FAFSA filers) who have not yet submitted a 2022–23 FAFSA form.

According to the announcement, the goal of the campaign is to remind customers that the 2022–23 FAFSA form is available and should be completed soon for those going to school between July 1, 2022 and June 30, 2023. The Department said eligible students and parents who have a valid email address in the Central Processing System will receive an email sometime between January 18, 2022 and late January 2022.
