Students and parents seeking financial aid for college can get a head start on the application process by reviewing a worksheet released earlier this month by the U.S. Department of Education.

On September 3, the Department of Education released English and Spanish versions of the worksheet for the 2022-23 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

The 2022–23 FAFSA on the Web Worksheet provides a preview of questions that students and parents may be asked while completing the FAFSA form at StudentAid.gov.

The Department of Education reminds students and parents that this worksheet is not the financial aid application, nor is it part of the application. However, it is a tool to help students and parents complete their FAFSA form online at StudentAid.gov.

The worksheet is optional should not be submitted to Federal Student Aid.
