Most retirement announcements are a little bittersweet. However, the announced retirement of the FSAdownload website should be mostly good news to financial aid professionals. On Tuesday, February 4, the Department of Education announced that it will transition the FSAdownload and Financial Partners Portal to the Information for Financial Aid Professionals website (IFAP) on February 9. Financial aid professionals should find it a little easier to keep track of regulatory information and important downloads with everything consolidated on one website. The Department reminds professionals to check their bookmarks, websites, and documents for any references to the FSAdownload website and Financial Partners Portal and make the necessary updates. In case you forget about the changes, the old websites will have sort of an "emeritus" status - that is there will be a re-direct temporarily, allowing time for everyone to make the necessary updates. | ||||||||||||||||
