The angels were among us.

In our great despair, they eased our suffering – doing great deeds in small quiet ways.

This year has been one of great tragedy for many but also one of glorious action. It is through those tragedies – floods, hurricanes, fires, and shootings – that we saw the angels. They were there – rescuing people from flooded buildings, providing food and shelter to people stranded by the storms, donating what they could and comforting the victims.

For those angels, we are eternally grateful.
